Graveyard shift boredom!?
I recently switched to graveyard shift, working from 10 pm to 7 am. I’m adjusted to it just fine except… on my days off I’m totally bored! I can only clean my house so many times, and there isn’t much open around. Any ideas for stuff to do so I don’t go crazy?
I’ve been on night shift for 2 years. On my first day off, I force myself to stay up all day. I usually end up going to bed at 8 PM or so, and sleep a regular night. The next day and night are "normal". I try to take a nap before work on my first night back. If I don’t, it’s no big deal–it just makes me a bit more tired the next morning, so I sleep earlier.
Basically, I try to have a "normal" schedule on my days off. You may need to get out of the house during the day so you aren’t tempted to sleep.

read some books, go to the movies, answer yahoo questions. thats what i do when im bored on my days off.
