Lethal Weapon 3 (1992) IMDB rating: 6.40 Plot: Martin Riggs finally meets his match in the form of Lorna Cole, a beautiful but tough policewoman. Do you have a bias towards what you see first?
Thinking about movies and books and things: (sorry this may get long)

I’m sure potthead fans will be attack me…First I watched the movies and I liked them but I cannot stand the harry potter books. rowling’s writing just doesn’t suit my fancy. Do you think I would have liked it better if I had read it first?

I read the hobbit and some of the lotr (not all unfortunately) but I only liked the first of the 3 movies. Is that a first bias? Or is it just that Elijah Wood ain’t my favorite guy?

I loved Stardust the movie… the book was completely different! I mean the plot was close but the characters. the ending. ugh! so anticlimatic (in my opinion). although the movie ending was silly at least something neat happened. That a first bias or am I just a sucker for happy endings?

Okay. I saw Lethal Weapon 4 before the other ones and I liked it much much better. Then again I was born in the 80’s and don’t remember much of it so I much prefer the 90s. Bias?

Hm.. Die Hard. I saw With a Vengeance first but I liked them all. maybe I just like Bruce Willis but I do like that number 3 the best.

Star Wars. Wasn’t it obvious that Anikan started to wear black all the time? I mean come on. Obviously I saw 4-6 first. I like Leia’s outfits much better than Omidalah. (crap I can’t spell. sorry)

Okay. So I’ve been rambling for a bit. What do you think?

Bar none, books are generally better than movies. Just by it’s very nature books are more engrossing, you picture all the characters exactly how you like them, you get so much more detail, more parts they couldn’t fit in the movie, and literature has a power of theme and structure that film just can’t match.

Need Help. What has happen? What to do?
My son’s school decided to do some testing so he could receive special help. The only help that he needs is reading. I was told that the only way that the teacher could help is to test him. Which I did. Now that I have to fill out the "Adoptive Behavior" test. Which piss me off. Basically they are saying that he is Mentally retarded. Which he isn’t. Some of the questions is,
Can he/she use the bathroom with out help.
Can he/she drinks without spilling.
Use a fork for solid foods.

Come on he does these things fine. He isn’t retarded. I have worked with changeling adults. The only thing that I wanted help was his reading. Now the school, has label him for being retarded. What are some of the things that can help me to get this mess all work out.
Seems to me that the school is just doing this for special funding.
My son is 12, I know that there isn’t anything wrong with having a metally changled kid. But when he isn’t and the school is labeling him as one piss me off. Seems that they needs more money that is all. All I wanted was to get him extra help in reading.

The school is just doing this for special funding, you are right. Don’t fill out the test because then they will place him in special education classes and that isn’t what your son needs. Get yourself a tutor for the reading or work on it at home. I don’t know how old your son is or what grade level he is at but there are lots of free reading sites out there. Try progressivephonics.com or starfall if he is younger.

While there is nothing wrong with having mental incapabilities, if your son doesn’t have them then don’t let them sugegst that he does. Some people, even with mental incapabilities, can do that stuff [depending on what age they are cause a younger kid might not be able to and an older adult might not be able to but most kids in between can.] Depending on what your sons educational needs are he might need to get an "I.E.P" (indivualized education plan i think that’s what it stands for. its somethign like that.) which depending on what he needs will be catered to him.

He is dead. His name is Ed Gein and was from Wisconsin. You can’t believe everything the movie said. He pleaded guilty but the insane cause so he lived at a hospital. All his family died before he started getting into grave digging and missing of a local. His house got burnt down and his car sold in an auction(he carried bodies in it). He mostly took parts from dead bodies.

Anyone remember this children/teen book from 70s or 80s?
All I can remember is that I think it had a picture of a wax candle on the cover and it was about a girl in a seaside cottage, an old necklace (might have been a locket), and something to do with witchcraft or ghosts. I have a feeling the amulet or locket had some santolina in it and it was the santolina that was causing the problem.

This probably all sounds barmy, but I’d love to know what the book was called and who wrote it, if it rings any bells with anyone!

My drumline show is called Relativity. I need some ideas for hair and make-up. My hair is medium length. Also it can not be down in my face. dark circles is a hereditary.or maybe a late sleep at night can cost also of a dark circles.if your case is not to much well you can still treat that by using a cream that helps to minimize the dark circles around your eyes.you can use also a soothing eye mask to relax and calm around your eye area.then there is also what you call a concealer to hide does dark circles around your eyes but maybe its not advisable to use that because it is summer and will look not good.but you can use if you work in the office its ok.

2 years is generally not an issue unless that two years puts you both at different life "stages", such as one in high school, one in college, one in college, one in the workforce, etc.

2 years isn’t much, but when you are younger it can definately be becasue the typical things one is dealing with can cause people to react and relate differently and change, as life stages and experiences bring about change faster.

for example, if one is in college, and is thinking about things on a different level than the other who is in high school- then they are reacting differently and growing while the other person is still in the "same old" that the college person was doing 2 years ago. that could cause problems, same with a workforce/college difference.

It depends on how old you both are……mid 20’s and up…it doesn’t matter at all. Hell I dated a few guys who were 21-25 when I was 36…..it was fun..but would never be serious.

BUT….if the guy is under 21 and she is older….it is a bit weird only because she will want to hang out at bars and he can’t get in yet…….when you are younger than 21 there are different levels of age experience that can be a problem….some one may have 2 years of school left while someone is heading for college…..THAT one NEVER works out,.
